PROJECT OVERVIEW

Redevelopment of a former mine museum located high up in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales involving the creation of an actor led underground scare attraction based around local welsh myths and legends.

Redevelopment of a former mine museum located high up in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales. The works involved the creation of an actor led underground scare attraction based around local welsh myths and legends called “The Black Chasm;” an above ground fantasy realm known as Woo Hoo Wood complete with children’s characters; a reworked interpretation for the Miners Trail and complete refurbishment of the cafe and shop.

Works included: concept attraction design (Black Chasm); illustration and detailing; story telling and script writing; 3D Model and CAD simulation; detailed thematic design; set lighting and show design; audio visual installation & construction of all theming, sets and props.

In addition, Saturn Imagineering developed the attraction branding and leaflet design; marketing and web site; and operational set up for the relaunch including staff recruitment and actor training.
