The first step of any project is to understand the business goals, project needs and any constraints in place such as planning or financial. These will then be taken and turned into the projects strategic objectives, and define the concepts we produce.

We ‘do our thing’ and create a variety of imaginative and creative ideas, based on your objectives. The sky isn’t the limit here, as we use our many years of knowledge to create a design that is iconic, sustainable, accessible and practical. We then deliver these concepts in a client friendly package that can be easily understood by project stakeholders.

Once the initial concepts start to come together, we undertake a variety of tasks to ensure that the project is feasible. We get busy planning, budgeting and collecting estimates based on the concepts. We also assist with market analysis, so can understand if the project will be popular with customers.

Once the design is completed, we share the information with our architects, engineers and external vendors. This enables us to obtain a more realistic budget and construction schedule, and give you and your stakeholders the information you’ll need to proceed with the project.

At this stage, we drill down into the real fine details, creating design drawings, technical information and descriptions of all the elements within the project. This ensures everyone involved is ‘on the same page’ and it is a collective effort to bring the idea to life.

As a stakeholder, how do you know that your build will be as you envisioned? At the construction document review stage, things start to move from paper to real life. We will monitor and review the work of the architects and fabricators to ensure the plans are followed to the dot.

Saturn will oversee and supervise the construction phase, ensuring that the plans are followed and the design intent is kept at the forefront of the project. We will oversee all elements of the built, ensuring things are kept on time and on budget.

Some projects may require multimedia, such as shows, lighting, video, artwork etc. Saturn can help with all aspects of the project, ensuring that the media elements are brought to life as detailed within the plans. We are there to supervise the installation and oversee the testing of all the elements, to ensure that they all work together to bring the project to life.

Can we breathe a sigh of relief?  We can’t relax just yet, as we use the soft opening process to invite a group of ‘forgiving’ guests (usually employees and their families) to test run the project. At this stage, we observe and watch the visitors behaviour, making any modifications where needed. We also feedback visitor insights and act upon reviews.
